Hello and how in the world are you? Where do you live? What is it like where you live? I am curious about who you are coming here to read my blog. Isn’t this huge big wide world an amazing journey connecting with people like you all over the planet. Welcome. I am honored to live in this country sharing my world with you and hoping in return I can see some of what your world is like! I wake up pretty much every morning and look at mountains and gorgeous skies and think to myself… could there be a better place on earth? I grew up mostly in Texas near Houston…. flat as a pancake… the nearest hill was a speed bump… I think that’s one reason I appreciate the beauty here. Everywhere I drive it’s up and down and around and scenic surrounds you on any road! I live about 12 miles from Malibu and on 3 different points can get to the Pacific Ocean within 15 to 20 minutes…. pretty cool. I am grateful to live here and appreciate it daily…. which brings me to this point. When you become grateful, your perception is enhanced. When you give, you receive more. Isn’t that funny? It’s true. I was privileged to attend an extensive personal development training (which you will hear me mention more than once) that taught me so much about how I perceived the wold.
Creatively, always creatively, I discovered these “filters” are the colors we see through…. some people see through a yellow filter – and that makes everything they look at yellow. Some see everything in greens, some white, some black.
I want to tell you personally, thank you for dropping by. I hope you’ll come again.
Here’s my disclaimer: I am a crazy, wild-at-heart Mamie (grandmother of 2) baby boomer, daughter, aunt, mother, friend. I love life. I love people… and at my year of wisdom, I want to share what I’ve learned and give back. I didn’t have someone teaching me these things as I grew up (yes at church that happened)… but I was always fascinated by grandparents and older people when I was a “youngin”… I am finding I’m more outspoken, so perhaps sometimes as you visit my blog, you may have to get in, sit down, strap up, and hold on!
